




Next stop on our travels was Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. I know what you’re thinking…. Who-misch-what-enkirchen? It’s a lovely quaint town in Germany where the winter Olympics were held wayyyy back in 1936. We saw the old Olympic ski jump, the Olympic skating rink, and we spent a lot of time walking around and exploring the nearby nature. My favorite area was this old Bavarian street called “Ludwigstraße,” which has colorful historic buildings and a backdrop of the Alps. Since we had hiked in the Alps about a month and a half before, it was so neat to see them again from below, and remember our accomplishment!
