Last Saturday night, my friend Elle invited a bunch of us to go to a swing dance with her, and boy did we have a blast! I’m not much of a dancer, but I thought it’d be fun to go and see her dance because I’ve heard she is fabulous, and she did not disappoint! The live band was also wonderful and played lots of great 50’s tunes, so it was worth going to hear them play too. 
Elle and her dance partner did a little demonstration and we all clapped along- the music was so fast I don’t know how they moved their feet so quickly! 
Later he asked me to dance… I was a bit intimidated after seeing how well he and Elle danced together, but Camille convinced me to give it a try. 
I learned the basics so I could at least follow along- it’s easier being the follower instead of having to lead! 
Overall we had a great night, and I highly recommend checking out a swing dance sometime. The music is great even if you aren’t a dancer, and who knows? You might be lucky like me and find a nice person to dance with you anyway!
