Tourist in Philly

Sometimes when I travel I like to research the less “touristy” local favorite spots, and try to avoid being a blatant tourist. Other times, I just embrace the fun of wandering around, camera in hand, oo-ing and ah-ing at the sights. I only had a short time to explore Philadelphia during my visit last weekend, so I went straight for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and then strolled over to Love Park. It was the perfect opportunity to play around with my new Canon 5D Mark IV! Aside from being (literally) toppled over by the extreme wind several times, it was a beautiful day to explore a beautiful city. I of course had to put together a my most “city-chic” outfit, and it seemed fitting to wear my vintage “American Girl” tee while exploring a city with so much American history.

What I’m Wearing:

Hat: AG Kit’s Beret
Tee: AG Cargo Outfit
Boots: AG Blue Ribbon Riding
Bag: Battat (ebay find)
Jacket and Jeans: Clarisse Originals
Camera: Miniature Canon 5D Mark IV

  1. Oh, my goodness! I so wish I had known you were going to be in town! We could have done a meet up. I’m only 40 miles northwest of Philly! It’s my home city. 😀 Of course, I was visiting DC while you were in Philly. Yes, I was blown over down there too! It was quite the wind last Saturday, but the sunshine was lovely!

I love the places you visited and your outfit is fabulous. I have the same tee shirt. It’s so comfy! The photo a Love Park where you can see the art museum is the back is my favorite. Did you try to run the museum steps like Rocky? that’s a favorite tourist thing to do.

    1. Oh wow! It was a bit of a last minute trip, but I’ll know for next time to see if you’re around! We did have fun running up the steps, though they are a bit high for me hehe 😉
